The Mastagard Group of companies has expanded recently with the addition of a joint venture recycling and transfer station in Wilsons Road.  Sydenham Recycling was set up to offer private and commercial clients a convenient and cost effective ‘dump’, which gives an alternative service to council owned refuse stations.  Sydenham recycling has longer hours of operation and competitive rates and also accepts a wide range of general and recyclable materials.

The winning of the 8 year contract with the Ashburton District Council has seen expansion to the south with a further purpose built recycling facility with an on site ‘junk’ store with proceeds of sales going back into the Ashburton District councils purse.  This contract also see the creation of a new position in Waste Education in schools – the belief being that children need to understand at an early age how crucial and overall beneficial to the environment it is to reduce, recycle and reuse.

Mastagard have also recently ‘formalised’ their Document Destruction service with the addition of a purpose built truck from Hino.  Onsite Shredding means companies and individuals can now get one-off or regular confidential papers shredding at their home or office, right before their eyes.  This service offers the most secure document destruction now available in Christchurch, North and South Canterbury.
